The section of scientific products marketing (SSPM)
The section of scientific products marketing belong to the departments of scienticif affairs which is a part of the organizational structure of the vice chancellor office for scientific affairs in the university of Basrah according to the ministerial official letter No. ق/4/1/11327 in 12/5/2013.
Aims of the section of scientific products marketing
1. Categorize the scientific products according to their types to ensure their availability to the targeted recipients offering a bridge that links between the scientific researches and the society needs.
2. The typical marketing of all university’s scientific products that Participate essentially in solving social problems and contribute to the development of our country
Who are we?
The section belongs to the presidency of the University of Basarh and the supervision of Prof.Dr. Saad Shaheen Humadi and its organizational structure belongs to the vice chancellor office for scientific affairs in the University of Basrah Prof. Dr. Zeki Abdullah Ahmed and the departments of scienticif affairs under the mangement of Prof. Dr. Hayder Abdulhassan Abbood.

1. Assist. Prof. Dr. Shereen Jawad Al-Ali - Director of the section of scientific products marketing
Certificates: B.Sc. - MSc. / College of Science / University of Basrah - PhD. in Immunology and Molecuar Bioscience / Medical College / Newcastle University / UK
2. Intihaa Sami Saleh
Certificates and specialty: Trading Diploma - office management
Duties: Recieving mails and recording the incoming and outgoing mails, supervising the university's exhibition of scientifc products
3. Liqaa Abbas Humod
Certificates and specialty: Bachelor of Art - Arabic language
Duties: Follow up, organising and archive work of mails and supervising the university's exhibition of scientifc products
4. Hind Abdulaziz Mohammed
Certificates and specialty: Bachelor of Science - Computer science
Duties: Editing of the section's official letters, organize and follow up of the marketing forms and supervising the university's exhibition of scientifc products
What are our duties?
1. Participating in solving society’s problems via collecting information about the needs of the consumers (people), unified them and present them to the manufacturers (university) in order to manufacture what solve these problems.
2. Provide the manufacturers (university) with an updated scientific marketing order form.
3. Provide the manufacturers (university) with an updated scientific marketing investment form.
4. Receive and categorize the scientific products to ensure the use of the best marketing strategy to consumers.
5. Follow up of the marketing processes.
6. Organizing and supervised the university annual exhibition for scientific products and invite the investors to give recognition to these products.
7. A follow up of scientific products exhibitions held by other universities to ensure updated information in a local level.
8. Publish a periodic issues of scientific marketing and ensure that it is reachable to all consumers and investors.
9. Provide a periodical summary of the scientific products to the department of media and public affairs in the university and its channel to guarantee good publicity.
10. Make a database for scientific products.
11. Hold introductory work about the section, the strategy of marketing and how to improve the scientific products.
